Susan Fruit Interiors Wins 2005 PRISM Award Remodeling Design of the Year - Single Room over $50,000. The Greater Houston Builders Association each year bestows its prestigious PRISM awards for exceptional performances to the building industry’s top professionals and companies in the categories of custom home building, residential remodeling, interior design, product design, sales and marketing, promotion, model home design, community development and website design. On Saturday, March 19 at the Hilton Americas Hotel, the 29th annual PRISM Awards ceremony took place. Susan Fruit Interiors was awarded the PRISM award for Remodeling Design of the Year – Single Room Design over $50,000 for the extensive renovation and remodeling of an outdated kitchen in the Piney Point area into a warm and inviting, customized and convenient, state-of-the-art Tuscany style kitchen. A few of the outstanding features of this kitchen include its dramatic coffered ceiling, multi layers of low voltage art lighting, an aged plaster cooktop hood, decorative bronze accent pieces in the backsplash and a special stain/glaze finish created exclusively for all the custom made cabinetry. |

Susan Fruit Interiors has won the prestigious Star Award sponsored by the Texas Association of Builders for the Best Kitchen Renovation over $75,000. More than 550 entrants submitted their best work for consideration in the Fall 2004 competition. The Star Awards are presented annually to honor the 'best in new construction, remodeling, renovation and restoration. This kitchen is featured on our Portfolio page. Interior designer knows success is 'in the details'

Interior designer Susan Fruit, ASID, loves to "create beauty in the environment." Fruit gains insight into her clients' lives by interviewing them in depth on numerous subjects, such as where they like to vacation. She observes the way they hold a cup of coffee, how their books and magazines are stacked, and other habits and mannerisms. "I don't just ask them what their favorite colors are," she said.
